Audi has just announced that the most powerful version of their acclaimed A1 can now be ordered by customers in the UK. To the envy of many around the world, Her Majesty's citizens can now be the proud owners of the 185 hp 1.4 TFSI S-Line. Priced from £20,705 (US $32,000) the 1.4-liter supercharged and turbocharged four-cylinder engine comes with a standard S tronic seven-speed twin-clutch transmission.

The front-wheel drive S-Line can hit 62 mph in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 141 mph. Fuel economy returns a combined 47.9 mpg UK (39.9 mpg US). The package includes a sport suspension, bodykit with different bumpers, side skirts, a rear diffuser, 17-inch alloys, and leather seats. Other features include remote central locking, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system with iPod connectivity. What we can't figure out is why Audi would only offer it in the UK where they need to make the necessary driver's side conversion while most of the world drives on the same side as the Germans.
