We covered the performance-enhanced variant of the Q3 compact crossover when it was revealed ahead of this week's motor show. Now Audi has revealed details of one of its other concepts debuting at the event. The Audi A6 L e-tron Concept is essentially a plug-in hybrid of the long-wheel-base version of the A6, which happens to be the company's bestselling model in China, and represents the carmaker's first luxury class e-tron concept car.

To differentiate it from the production model, the concept has been given specific styling cues such as the single frame grille with horizontal chrome bars, a special rear diffuser and a set of e-tron design 21-inch alloys. At 5.02m long and 1.87m wide, it mirrors the sedan's dimensions. The powertrain of the concept is a so-called 'parallel hybrid,' merging a 2.0-liter TFSI engine capable of 211hp and an electric motor with 95hp powered by a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery located in the rear. In electric-only mode the Audi A6 L e-tron has a 50-mile range when travelling at a constant speed of 37mph.

Inside, it has a typically good-looking cabin made from high-quality materials, ventilated seats with massage functions, a Bose surround sound system, ambient lighting, a deluxe a/c system and a large MMI hard-drive navigation system. There are also plenty of safety features including active lane assist, night vision assistant, and an Audi pre sense system.
