Last seen cloaked in camo somewhere in the Alps, the refreshed Audi A8 has now been revealed in sketch form ahead of its online debut slated for August 21. Standard facelift fare includes revisions to the front and rear, and wholesale changes to the lights with LED lights all round and Matrix LEDs for the headlights. These are made up of individual diodes that turn off and on depending on driving conditions. For example, when an oncoming car approaches the new headlights will automatically dim to reduce glare.

The indicators also turn LED, running progressively from one side to the other in a Kitt car fashion. Extra equipment as well as more power and better economy are also expected, details of which should be with us by the end of the week or next month at the latest, when the car debuts at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
