Audi Debuts a New A1 and A1 Sportback With a Whole New Range of Teeny Tiny Engines

Technology

Prepare yourself for an onslaught of dubstep.

It appears that Audi is set to win the supermini race with big heap of Vorsprung durch Technik. That’s because the engines going into the new A1 and A1 Sportback are absolutely crammed full of full sipping and horsepower generating technology, always a winning combo. The most frugal is a new 1.4-liter three-cylinder diesel, which makes for a combined 69.2mpg, while the most powerful is a 192ps 1.8-liter TFSI four-cylinder.

There is also a tiny 1.0-liter gasoline engine which attempts to mix economy with power, delivering 95ps and 54.7mpg.
