Pricier than Merc and BMW competitors, but offering more bang for the buck.
Six months after its initial American debut at the Detroit Motor Show, the US pricing and spec for Audi's baby Q3 crossover have just been leaked. With a base price of $32,500 (plus $925 destination), the little Audi will cost more than its GLA and X1 competitors from Mercedes-Benz and BMW, but it seems it will be offering a longer list of standard equipment for the price. The base model is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI four-pot mated to a six speed automatic and making 200 horsepower.
While the base model is front-wheel drive, an upgrade Quattro all-wheel drive system starts at $35,525 (including destination). BMW's X1 offers a 240 horsepower rear-wheel drive alternative starting at $31,850, and an AWD version for $33,650. The Mercedes GLA starts at $32,225 and $34,225 for front and all-wheel drive, respectively.
