Le Mans streets are treated to a special public drive and new engine announcement.
With the 24 Hours of Le Mans still a few months away, Audi has decided to treat the host city to the first official public viewing of its 2014 R18 E-Tron Quattro’s new racing livery. While the racer was out flaunting its new threads, the company also announced a new, larger engine for the car: it will receive a 4.0-liter diesel V-6, a 300cc increase from the last season’s engine. The public ride is a tribute to the race’s classic days, when drivers would enter the city in their actual race cars.
