B&B is back with their take on the Audi R8.
B&B Automobiltechnik, the Berlin-based tuning company, has just released their Stage 3 aftermarket program for the Audi R8. Meant for the mid-engined V10 model, the supercar received a substantial boost in power along with some bigger brakes. The German tuners boosted the R8's performance with a special racing exhaust system, revised induction system, revamped ECU and a special carbon fiber air filter. The V10 now puts out a powerful 610hp and 443lb-ft of torque.
In comparison, the stock R8 cranks out only 525hp and 391lb-ft of torque. The supercar now runs from 0-62mph in a scant 3.6 seconds and can hit 124mph in 10.8 seconds, up from the stock model's time of 12.3 seconds. It can hit a top speed of 205mph, not bad for the Audi coupe. The standard could only reach 196mph. The total conversion costs a hefty €14,950. B&B is also offering several other parts for their Audi R8. To deal with the larger power numbers, B&B has also added carbon-ceramic high performance brakes for an extra fee of €12,950. The upgraded wheels are available in either 19- or 20-inch sizes, starting at €7,950.
The wheels seen in the photos are the Kahn RSV versions. Suspension upgrades are also available, including a track-spec complex suspension system that runs an added €4,950. Though a bit pricey, the B&B Automobiltechnik Audi R8 is truly a track-ready German supercar that is as purple as it is impressive.
