Audi R8 GT3 Race Is So Similar To The Road Car, It Tells You How Good The Regular R8 Is

You know that you're still in an R8.

Audi gets a lot of press for its outright wins in endurance racing, with the 24 Hours of Le Mans wins obviously getting the most. But the R18 LMP1 cars aren't the only thing on the track to wear four rings, and the car you'll see in this video is the R8 LM Ultra that won the GT3 class at the most recent Nurburgring 24 Hours. Evo takes it out for a spin on the track, and as you'll hear in the video, the car is very much like the road car, something you don't often hear about race cars.

Although quite a bit has obviously been changed about the car, a large amount of it for the sake of weight saving. The engine is the same as that of the V10 Plus, and it only has 12 more horsepower.
