It's not often Audi introduces new additions to its sporty RS lineup, but the brand recently added a trio of hotly-anticipated models for 2021: the RS6 Avant, RS7 Sportback, and RS Q8 SUV. These models all seem like they just arrived in the United States, but Audi has just announced minor (but important) changes across its 2022 RS lineup. Here's what to expect.

The most significant updates apply to the 2022 Audi RS6 Avant and 2022 Audi RS7 Sportback. These two models receive an optional Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) mechanical suspension. Audi says the shocks are diagonally opposed and linked by hydraulic lines plus a central valve in the damper, helping regulate oil through the shock absorber. This suspension should feel sportier and more enthusiast-oriented than the existing air suspension.

There are more changes on the menu for the RS6 and RS7 too. Carbon twill structure inlays are now standard on both models, and the RS7 gets a standard Dinamica headliner. New black or titanium 22-inch wheels are available in Carbon and Black optic packages. A new RS design package adds black seat belts with a contrast border in red or gray, RS floor mats, Alcantara center console and shifter, contrast stitching, and a flat-bottom Alcantara steering wheel. Pricing for the 2022 Audi RS6 and RS7 increase to $112,000 and $114,500, respectively.

The 2022 Audi RS Q8 SUV receives the RS design package as well, plus a slew of safety upgrades. Audi Adaptive Cruise Assist with Traffic Jam Assist, and Audi Active Lane Assist now come as standard equipment. Traffic Sign recognition and Intersection assist are available as part of the Executive package. 2022 RS Q8 pricing increases slightly to $115,400.

The 2022 Audi RS5 Coupe and Sportback return mostly unchanged for the new model year with a new RS design package, offering the same interior upgrades found on the larger RS models. An Audi exclusive Bronze Styling package blacks out the Audi rings and badges and adds matte carbon exterior front spoiler and rear diffuser trim, RS carbon matte inlays, matte carbon exterior side mirror housings, Bronze interior stitching, and 20-inch five-spoke bronze wheels.

The flagship 2022 Audi R8 Coupe sees the introduction of a new V10 Performance RWD variant, upping output from 532 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque to 562 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The RWD Coupe and Spyder are now available with a Sport exhaust package and a Dynamic package.

Pricing for the R8 Coupe starts at $146,500 for the RWD model or $197,600 with Quattro all-wheel-drive. The Spyder costs $158,700 or $211,300, respectively.
