And this one seems like a perfect fit for America.
Ever since Audi revealed the stylish new 2019 Q3 crossover, we've been excited to see what the company has in store for its quicker S and RS variants. The Q3 is a more recent addition to Audi's US lineup but we've never received the sportier SQ3 or hardcore RS Q3. Audi has been testing a new RS Q3 and we've spotted it performing laps around the Nurburgring and testing in icy conditions. Our spy photographers have now spotted the car driving in more picturesque conditions wearing far less camouflage than before. We can see more details of the car in these new photos, including two beautiful new colors.
The first color is a lovely shade of baby blue, which could be Audi's Turbo Blue or a different version of Porsche's Riviera Blue. The second color is Nardo Grey, which is one of our favorite Audi colors of all time. Although it is a bit difficult to see into the interior, it looks like Audi will also offer blue leather seats to match the exterior color.
Awesome colors aside, this RS Q3 looks like a properly aggressive little crossover. The RS Q3 will feature larger air intakes, large oval tailpipes, a rear spoiler and diffuser, and standard big cross-drilled steel brakes or optional carbon ceramic discs with blue calipers behind what look like 21-inch sport wheels.
Under the hood, the RS Q3 is expected to use the same 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine from the RS3, which currently produces 400 horsepower. Rumors indicate Audi could bump the power up to around 414 hp to anticipate the arrival of a more powerful Mercedes GLA 45 AMG. Although the US has never received the RS Q3 before, this one seems like it could finally come stateside. Based on how little camouflage is on these prototypes, an official reveal appears imminent.
