Audi RS6 Legacy Edition Is 750 Horsepower Of German Brilliance

Audi tuning specialist ABT Sportsline has revealed an all-new take on the Audi RS6 Avant, with the new creation dubbed the ABT RS6 Legacy Edition. Created as the "crowning glory of two decades of RS6 history," just 200 units of this exclusive limited edition will be available, and each of them will produce even more power than we've become accustomed to from the tuner's RS6 builds. As a reminder, the stock Audi RS6's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generates 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, barely scratching the surface of what the engine is capable of. We've seen other outfits boost it to as much as a thousand horsepower, but ABT is being somewhat restrained. Just not when it comes to styling.

ABT has fitted new turbochargers, an upgraded intercooler, and in the front bumper, functional carbon fiber inserts that help optimize air intake. Combined with a stainless-steel exhaust system with four 102-millimeter finishers, the super wagon produces 750 horsepower and 723 lb-ft of torque. While these figures use our measurements, ABT has not disclosed output for the American market, presumably because differing emissions regulations could increase or reduce the potential output. But that's okay - you're guaranteed to get a lot more than Ingolstadt offered you when you bought the car stock.

One of the biggest highlights of this new creation is the carbon fiber hood insert that frames a vent. ABT claims that this is properly effective in dissipating engine bay heat, but who cares? It looks fantastic. More carbon fiber can be found in the front lip, the wing mirror caps, the side skirt extensions, the rear diffuser insert, and the roof-mounted rear spoiler. The front fenders get new inserts, too, as is ABT's tradition.
