The 3.0-liter TFSI engine found in the S4 and S5 has received some generous power from TechTec.
German aftermarket specialists TechTec is best recognized for adding power to BMWs. The Bayern-based chip-tuner's latest work, however, dials up the competition, turning its attention to the Audi S4 and its coupe sibling the S5. TechTec has retuned the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TFSI with a mechanical supercharger and direct injection, coupled with a software remap and the optional removal of the speed limiter. The result is 430 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.
That makes for a 97hp and 60lb-ft upgrade over the standard model's figures of 333 and 324, respectively. With all these changes, the German tuner says that the engine now propels the models beyond 186mph.
