It's yet to be officially confirmed, but the rumours swirling around the Messe this week is that Audi intends to put the Sport Quattro Concept into a limited edition run. Given its supercar credentials we expect a supercar price tag for the gorgeous hybrid coupe. In fact, don't be surprised if the Four Rings price it higher than the R8. Compared to the Quattro Concept unveiled two years ago in Paris, the Sport Quattro Concept unveiled in Frankfurt looks far more production ready.

Its aggressive, muscular styling is complemented by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 coupled to an electric motor that puts out 700 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Despite a curb weight of just over 4,000 pounds, the Sport Quattro will blast from 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. It will also deliver 94 mpg. That's a package Audi will have no trouble selling.
