The SQ5 is Audi's maiden diesel-powered S-model, and to celebrate its release, 50 limited edition variants, dubbed the SQ5 TDI Exclusive, will join the stock SQ5 TDI when it hits dealerships in Germany early next year following its debuts at the Paris Motor Show. The high-performance diesel crossover packs a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel that delivers 308 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, propelling the SQ5 from 0-62 mph in 5.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 155 mph.

Yet Audi has priced the limited edition model at 92,000 Euros, a whopping 57 percent more than the 58,000-Euro list price of the regular SQ5 TDI. The Exclusive version is the product of Audi's "quattro GmbH" division, adding a specially-developed Aral Blue crystal-effect paint with S-model signature aluminum-finish contrasting mirrors and an upgraded interior. The cabin boasts a multifunction sports steering wheel. gear lever boot, dashboard, center armrest and black sport seats finished in black Nappa leather accentuated with contrasting stitching in snow white.

The seats also receive black woven leather inserts in the center sections. Completing the lavish interior is an Alcantara headliner, sunroof blind, and door panels all finished in white, natural grain ash wood inlays, while the door trims and entry sills are adorned with Audi exclusive badges. Whether those features add up to 33,000 euros worth of equipment, however, is debatable.
