Lighter and more powerful than its predecessor.
Making its official debut at Paris is the all-new 2015 Audi TT S Roadster. As we previously reported, power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine producing 310 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph and 0-60 mph happens in 4.9 seconds. Both a six-speed manual and a six-speed dual-clutch are on offer. Like the coupe, the new TT's wheelbase has grown by 37 mm over the previous generation, while the car itself is 21 mm shorter and 10 mm narrower.
Cutting weight was also a major factor as the Roadster weighs three kilograms less than the previous generation, and just 90 kg more than its new coupe sibling. Other features include standard magnetic ride dampers, and what Audi calls a "virtual cockpit" thanks to its digital instrument panels. Sales are likely to kick off in early 2015.
