Audi has launched a special A5 in celebration of its star driver Mike Rockenfeller clinching the 2013 DTM championship while racing a 2013 Audi A5 DTM as part of the Audi Sport Team Phoenix. A move that mirrors BMW's M3 DTM Champion Edition released at the end of last year. Dubbed the "A5 DTM Champion," the special edition model is exclusively available with the A5 (i.e. not with the S5 or RS5) in a choice of Misano red, Daytoma gray and Glacier white.

Only 300 examples are slated for production, each wearing unique elements such as DTM badges, a fixed body-colored rear wing, faux aluminum side mirror caps and special 20-inch alloys. Given the lack of awareness of DTM stateside, you won't be surprised to hear none of the Audi A5 DTM Champion special editions are bound for the US.
