You can now jazz up your performance-focused Audi without fear of retribution.
We recently got the outstanding news that Abt Sportsline's take on the Audi RS3, the limited-edition RS3-R, is coming to America. With 500 horsepower on tap, it's quite an attractive proposition, but not everyone needs to enhance the performance of their RS. Sometimes, simply upgrading the styling is enough, and the German tuner has plenty on offer from an aesthetic point of view. But where can you get these parts?
For some Audi owners, the answer is now a simple one - at your local Audi dealer. As part of the expansion of its partnership with Audi of America, Abt now directly offers a few carbon fiber styling upgrades that are sure to help your Audi stand out.
The first item is carbon fiber front grille trim, and it's available for the Audi RS6 Avant and the RS7 Sportback at a cost of $1,750. Sticking with the same vehicles, carbon trim is on offer for the lower front air intakes at a slightly cheaper $1,390. At the rear, a carbon fiber lip spoiler that attaches to the standard adaptive spoiler can be had for 2021 and 2022 variants of the regular A7, the sporty S7, and the hardcore RS7. But at a cost of $2,850, it's not exactly affordable. Finally, a piece of carbon fiber trim can be had to connect the taillights on the RS6 at a cost of $2,120. Naturally, these parts can all be installed by your local dealer.
As we noted, Abt is expanding its product offering for America and is now bringing complete vehicles to sell on our shores. Along with the arrival of these new aesthetic upgrades for the RS6 and RS7 (and the latter's lesser siblings), it seems that the German tuner is taking its American expansion seriously. If these new products do well, it's not inconceivable to think that Abt showrooms could eventually become commonplace in areas like Miami and New York, and that means even more choice for the discerning buyer.
