Aussie Drag Car Fights For Traction At The Strip

Video

Putting a huge amount of power through the rear wheels will do that to you.

We here at CarBuzz have a pretty serious soft spot for Australian muscle cars. They’ve got everything we love about American muscle, while still being different enough to provide a unique perspective. So we offer you the following video of a 1976 Holden Torana, powered by a twin-turbo 408cu-in GM LS engine. It runs on E85 pump gas, nothing especially fancy, but it’s still at the drag strip looking for an 8-second quarter mile time.

Conditions are a bit slippery, but that doesn't distract from the fact this is one hell of a machine to watch in action.
