The Ford Falcon-based GT Black is set to begin production.
Ford Australia's in-house tuner Ford Performance Vehicles has been producing great packages and concepts for quite some time now. FPV's GT concept is set to enter production fresh off its very well-received debut at last month's 2011 Australian Motor Show. The concept will run under the new moniker FPV GT Black. Originally based on the Falcon GT sedan, the GT concept featured a wider track and upgraded brakes along with a suspension setup geared for the track.
It is equipped with the Mustang Boss' 5.0-liter V8 with an Eaton supercharger. The FPV GT concept could put out 450hp and 420lb-ft of torque. The production version will run those features and include the much talked about black-on-black color scheme. 19-inch alloy wheels and tail pipes are also blacked-out. The FPV GT Black is set to enter production and will be limited to only 125 units. No pricing information has been released yet.
