Australian Road Trips Require Falcon XR6 Utes

"It looks like an old Ford Focus that’s been rear-ended by an El Camino."

If there is one specific automotive body style that Australia is famous for, then it’d be the Ute. Call it a compact pickup truck or even a two-door coupe with a big ass open trunk, the Ute is the quintessential Australian car. The Ute body style proved popular enough Down Under that Ford and even GM brought it to the States, calling them the Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino, respectively. But only in Australia does the Ute still live on to this day.

Motor Trend’s Arthur St. Antoine and Angus MacKenzie opt to take a Falcon XR6 Ute on a journey through the Outback. Call it the ultimate Australian road trip.
