For an additional $30 grand over the price of a stock Ford F-150, you can make it look fitting for Batman.
It may not have the roof jumping abilities of the Tumbler, but this Ford F-150 Batmobile tribute truck can actually be yours. Yes, that means you’ll be able to place your order for one. Ford and Galpin Auto Sports teamed up to create this tribute to the original Batmobile for this year’s Comic Con in San Diego, California. Called "The Crimefighter", it was designed by Jared Barris whose legendary grandfather, George Barris, was the man behind the design of the original Sixties batmobile, along with a whole heap of other customized cars.
Starting off with a 2012 F-150 painted in Tuxedo Black, it also features Ferrari Red accents and those unmistakable Batman fins on each side of the bed. Looks like something you’d want to buy? If so, Galpin Auto Sports is currently taking orders, which will cost prospective owners an additional $30,000 over the cost of an F-150. The truck shown here, an F-150 XLT Supercab powered by a 5.0-liter V8, costs roughly $60,000.
