Once you start getting into really serious drag car builds, ones where you're reaching 1,400 horsepower, the quality of your work and attention to detail will usually have more of an impact on your times than what car you've chosen as a starting point. Nevertheless, this is one of those classic matchups, an American legend with a big V8 up against a Japanese legend with a 2JZ engine. What more could you possibly want in a drag race?
