The exclusive Ferrari XX Programme was recently held in Monza, home of the Italian Grand Prix, and the notorious Shmee150 was invited down to take part in the amazing event and check out 599XX, 599XX Evoluzione and FXX cars up close in the paddock before they took to the track in magnificent style. Ferrari's Corse Clienti department gives their most loyal customers the chance to race each other and offer feedback in helping the Italian supercar maker develop their road cars.

Membership provides Ferrari owners with the chance to race at some of the most famous tracks in the world, with a team of professional drivers and engineers on hand helping to fine tune their handling and driving style. The track-only 599XX Evolution officially had its debut last December at the 2011 Bologna Motor Show. The 'Evolution' name simply refers to it being a hardcore, evolutionary version of the 599 GTB and 'standard' 599XX. Power has been increased to a total of 740hp and 516lb-ft of torque, which Ferrari engineers accomplished by redirecting the exhaust pipes out of the sides. It also weighs 35kg less than the 599XX.

Only long-time buyers of Ferrari cars can join the exclusive club, although at the weekend a 2006 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione complete with a place in the Corse Clienti program was sold at the Monaco auction for €1.3m.

The 2006 model was produced in a limited run of only 30 units and is powered by a fuel-injected 6.3-liter DOHC V12 engine rated at 860hp. The Italian supercar bolts from 0-60mph in only 2.8 seconds en route to a top speed of 217mph.
