It was just over a month ago when Rolls-Royce presented the new Ghost Black Badge, offering a more sinister take on the luxury limo with stealthy blacked-out trim. Not to be outdone by its chief rival, Bentley has just introduced the new Continental GT Mulliner Blackline. Available for the Continental GT and Continental GT Convertible, the new Mulliner Blackline specification is even more exclusive than Bentley's regular Blackline models.

The new trim was created in response to the popularity of Bentley's Blackline range, with 38 percent of Continental GT orders being specified with the Blackline option. For the Mulliner Blackline, the exterior chrome trim is replaced with black detailing except for the Bentley Winged B badge. The grille bezel also gets the black treatment.

Whereas the GT Mulliner has satin silver mirror caps, the Blackline's mirrors are finished in gloss Beluga black. Mulliner's signature wing vents behind the front wheel arch are also darkened with contrasting bright Mulliner branding. Elsewhere, the grille is finished in black with bright edges and the lower bumper grilles get the dark treatment, resulting in a stealthy appearance.

The GT Mulliner Blackline rides on 22-inch wheels painted black with self-leveling badges. Alternatively, a Mulliner will offer black wheels with "polished pockets" in the future.

Inside, the interior can be trimmed in one of eight recommended three-color combinations or clients can choose any color combination their imagination can dream up. As standard, the new GT Mulliner Blackliner includes the Mulliner Driving Specification, which adds "Diamond in Diamond" quilting for the seats, doors, and rear quarter panels, featuring both contrast and accent stitching running through the diamond layout. Each diamond contains 712 individual stitches, with a total of 400,000 stitches in the cabin.

Under the hood, the Bentley GT Mulliner Blackline is available with a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 producing 626 hp or a 4.0-liter V8 rated at 542 hp.
