Bentley Debuts Tiny Mulliner Bacalar And GT Speed In 1:43 Scale

Now's your chance to own a Bentley for less than $200.

If you're one of the many people who couldn't get their hands on a Bentley Bacalar on time, you're in luck. Bentley will now sell you a much smaller, much more affordable 1:43 scale model of the British roadster. If hyper-limited multi-million-dollar roadsters are less your "speed," Bentley has also announced it will sell you a 1:43 scale model of the Bentley Continental GT Speed.

In case you hadn't heard, all 12 of the original, mind-blowingly expensive, $2.1 million Bacalars have been sold. It's easy to see why. The Bacalar is a great example of the insane things Bentley's Mulliner department has become famous for, and the looks can't be argued with.

Luckily, it seems much of the detail carries over to the models. The Bacalar model comes in the same Yellow Flame paint we saw when the Bacalar itself debuted in 2020. The model even has some of the same satin bronze brightwork you'd see on the real 1-of-12 Bacalar, supposing the stars were ever aligned enough for you to be in the room with one.

The little Bacalar's interior largely mirrors that of the debut car, with as close an approximation to the brand's Grey Tweed and Beluga color scheme as possible. The story is much the same with the GT Speed.

It appears the GT Speed will only be available in a single color: Candy Red. Interestingly enough, Bentley has included some tiny option packages on this one. For example, some gloss "carbon fiber" pieces can be seen on the car. Bentley says the interior features Speed embroidery and diamond quilting on the leather. Hotspur interior trim was chosen for the model.

Each of the cars will run you $121 USD, but you'll have to pay for shipping. Bentley says it offers complimentary shipping within the UK on orders over £200, but that obviously doesn't apply to those of us in the States. Still, the brand says your model will arrive within three to five days regardless, which is a whole lot less time than needed to take delivery of any other new Bentley.
