The automotive industry waved goodbye to a luxury icon last year, with the 2020 Bentley Mulsanne ending production. Bentley bid farewell to its flagship luxury sedan with a special 6.75 Edition, an homage to the legendary 6.75-liter V8 that stayed in production for a whopping 61 years. Though the Mulsanne's been out of production for over a year now, Bentley will provide a unique opportunity to buy five of the rarest examples ever built.

Back in 2015, Bentley's Mulliner division coachbuilt five bespoke Mulsanne Grand Limousines. The five cars were delivered to their owner in the United Arab Emirates but were never used or registered. All five examples are now up for grabs, each uniquely appointed with a different exterior and interior combination.

Each Mulsanne Grand Limousine is one meter (39 inches) longer than a standard Mulsanne, with a raised roof for additional headroom in the back seat. The cars accommodate six individuals with rear-facing seats allowing passengers to have face-to-face conversations. Bentley says this design was inspired by private luxury aviation. Those back seats are decked out with amenities, including a bottle cooler with crystal flutes, a beverage cabinet with bespoke crystal tumblers, folding picnic tables, an iPad docking station, three analog gauges, and an intercom system to chat with the driver.

Under the hood, the Grand Limousines use Bentley's historic twin-turbocharged V8 engine displacing six and three-quarter liters. This massive powerplant dishes out 505 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque. Each car rides on unique 21-inch wheels painted to match the exterior color with a stainless steel Flying B hood ornament featuring a "Coachbuilt by Mulliner" engraving on its plinth.

The example pictured here is finished in Silver Frost over Moroccan Blue on the exterior with an Imperial Blue and Linen interior matched with Burr Walnut veneer. Each of the other four examples comes with a different combination: Damson (purple) over Black Crystal with Damson/Twine leather and Dark Stained Burr Walnut veneer; Onyx over Candy Red with Hotspur and Camel leather Olive Ash veneer; Rubino Red over Light Gazelle (gold) with Fireglow and Twine leather and Burr Walnut veneer; and single-tone Black Sapphire with Imperial Blue and Camel leather and Dark Stained Burr Walnut veneer.

We don't know how much the five Gran Limousines will sell for, but we expect they will be far more expensive than a standard Mulsanne.
