Bentley finished 2019 strong by selling 11,006 cars, a five percent increase compared to 2018. These sales numbers are quite impressive considering the company's least expensive model, the Bentley Bentayga, starts at a whopping $160,000. But as you may know, buying a Bentley doesn't have to be so expensive. Used Bentley models tend to experience steep depreciation, making them a much smarter purchase than a brand-new one. The only trouble is, buying a used Bentley without a warranty can yield some massive repair bills and maintenance costs.

This is why Bentley Motors has just announced a new pre-owned program called Certified by Bentley. Bentley says its new program "offers buyers complete peace of mind, an exclusive certificate of authenticity, and opens the door to the extraordinary world of Bentley itself."

Each Certified by Bentley car includes a full service history, certificate of authenticity, 12-month (minimum) complimentary warranty, and technical inspection from Bentley factory-trained technicians. Bentley says each car will be fully serviced using only genuine Bentley parts and will be issued a 12-month warranty that can be extended for further peace of mind.

"When a customer selects a Certified by Bentley car, they are making an investment in a brand that has always crafted extraordinary vehicles. The exceptional quality of every car means that whether new or Certified by Bentley, owning a Bentley is a wise decision," said Mark Keeping, Head of Pre-Owned at Bentley Motors. "Costs of ownership are lower than might otherwise be expected, making owning a Bentley an option for a wider number of potential customers. And every car hand-built at our headquarters in Crewe, England, meets the same exquisite standards regardless of when it was built."

In fact, it is estimated that around 85 percent of all Bentleys ever built are still on the road today.

In addition to the advantages of owning a Bentley that is covered under a factory warranty, Certified by Bentley customers will gain other unique perks. These include invitations to exclusive events around the world as well as a Bentley Factory Tour. A Bentley spokesperson has confirmed to CarBuzz that the Certified by Bentley will be offered on cars up to 10-years-old with no mileage restriction.
