Bentley has big plans to expand their lineup, with many new variants and editions in the works.
Coming as he does from Porsche, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer is planning to introduce a large number of new variants for both of Bentely's existing models. This even before the arrival of their planned SUV and down-market four-door coupe. Plans have already been heard to make coupe and convertible versions of the Mulsanne, but now it seems likely that a long-wheelbase version of the sedan will be joining the lineup.
It is the Continental, however, which will be getting the full 911 treatment, with hardcore, lightweight and special editions far beyond the eight already being offered from Crewe. This might all sound a bit German for Bentley, but there is no arguing with the benefits it has had for Porsche, now one of the world's most profitable automotive brands.
