Bentley is very keen to launch an uber luxurious SUV in the very near future. This segment is just far too lucrative to miss out on. After the mixed response of the EXP 9F concept at Geneva in 2012, Bentley sent its designers back to the drawing boards to make some necessary changes. Last summer, Bentley confirmed the SUV had been given the production green light. Expected to launch in 2015, a new report claims this Bentley SUV will also be offered as a plug-in hybrid.

Although this variant won't debut until about a year after the gasoline engine version, word is the hybrid tech will find its way into the rest of Bentley's lineup not long afterwards. Bentley's Chairman and Chief Exec, Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, stated that "the SUV will be the first Bentley hybrid because it's based on a new platform with new technology. We will see hybrid versions of all of our cars, though." This plug-in SUV will also borrow technology found in the Porsche Panamera Hybrid. Schreiber confirmed there won't be another Bentley SUV concept before the production version debuts, which is expected to happen next year.
