Bentley Thinks Rich People Will Drop $170K On This Optional Feature

2015 Frankfurt Motor Show

Wait, change "thinks" to "knows."

Bentley redefined luxury for the millionth time when it debuted its Bentayga SUV at the 2105 Frankfurt Motor Show. We already know that it’ll be expensive and fast, but Automobile Magazine has just reported on an optional feature that may be the most expensive and insane ever. While chatting with Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer, it was revealed that there’s an optional Mulliner Tourbillon by Breitling clock that drivers can have installed for around $170,000. Read that one more time: An optional clock for $170K.

So, what does $170,000 buy you? The clock comes in sold gold (rose or white) and with two face options, mother-of-pearl or black ebony. It also has eight diamond indexes and is actually wound by the Bentayga itself. Hey, did you really think rich people clocked lap times on digital stopwatches?
