Bentley Ups Power For 2017 Continental GT, Cuts 0-60 MPH Time

This is how the automaker celebrates the death of the Phantom.

Bentley rolled out its 2017 Continental GT lineup at a special event in New York, showing off four new and more powerful models. The GT Speed ($240,300), GT Speed Black Edition ($253,235), GT Speed Convertible ($264,300) and GT Speed Convertible Black Edition ($277,235) were all on hand to dazzle guests. The automaker didn’t release a ton of info on the new cars, but it did say that the 6.0-liter W12 engine under the hood was given a power boost, allowing the cars to hit a max speed of 206 mph.

Horsepower was bumped from 626 hp to 633 hp, with torque going from 607 to 620 lb-ft, with the full load on tap at just 2000 RPM. The GT Speed can move its massive body from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, looking damn good all the while. Aside from the power figures and pricing not much info was released, so you’ll just have to be make do with these drool-worthy photos from the event.
