Ferrari rival could be in showrooms by 2018.
Bentley thinks it can steal sales away from Ferrari and Aston Martin with a new front-engined two-seater sports GT and will test the water next month at the Geneva Motor Show with a concept. That's according to Autocar, which claims the car will sit alongside the Continental GT in the lineup and bot below it. Power will likely come from the Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that's recently been added to some Bentley models, engineered to ensure the car hits a 200-mph top speed. But don't expect to see the GT before 2018.
Bentley is currently focused on expanding Crewe's production facilities to deliver the in-demand Bentayga of which 3,000 units are expected to be sold annually. Once that's taken care of, attention can be turned towards what will be the firm's fifth distinct model. In any case, the production green light has yet to be given. Let's see how the concept fares in Geneva first.
