The Concept M4 Coupe has already given us an excellent indication of what the production M4 will look like and these latest spy shots of the coupe wearing light camo are equally revealing. They come together with shots of the M3 sedan, which show the wide fenders and most of the car's lines, and all that's left now is for the cars to break cover at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The latest M cars will reportedly come with a twin- or triple-turbocharged 3.2-liter straight-six rated at 450 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque.

Not only will they be more powerful, the M3/M4 will also be lighter than their predecessors thanks to a carbon-fiber roof, aluminum hood, carbon-fiber trunk-lid and the use of aluminum, magnesium and carbon fiber in the crash zones. Other anticipated new features include an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, wider wheels and tires, a lower and stiffer suspension, improved brakes, and a raft of aerodynamic enhancements.
