AMG C63 Sedan

The upcoming BMW M4 will have a revolutionary new look. Whether it's a good look or not is up for debate, but what is without question is that Mercedes-AMG makes the M3's closest rival in the C63. Although BMW M currently has no immediate plans for alternative propulsion, we know that the C63 will be a major departure for the tire-shredding brand. What we don't know is what this new C63 sedan will look like, but thanks to a new render from j.b.cars on Instagram, we've got a pretty good idea of what direction the super saloon could take with its new styling.

This isn't just some slaphazard illustration. Instead, you can see that the artist has taken the time to integrate styling cues of recent Mercedes-AMG releases. The tapering beltline, the complex LED taillights, and the upturned nose spoiler are all a part of current AMG models, and the artist has integrated them into the design beautifully.

The front fender notch, where a badge mentioning something to do with the engine normally resides is a little larger than we would expect, but it doesn't look out of place. The illustration also shows golden brake calipers, as you would expect to find on an AMG product equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes.

There's also the familiar quad-exit exhaust in a squared design, something that still brings to mind the E63. There's also a subtle trunk spoiler that looks very much like the one seen on the CLA 45 and the usual bumper vents that are increasingly common on all Mercedes products. An interesting side-skirt arrangement that is not unlike the kind you'd see on some Bimmers is complemented by a set of double-five-spoke wheels. At the front, the trademark Panamericana grille adds a touch of class to the aggressive but tidy styling.

All in all, this is a great effort, and we'd love to see the next C63 look anything like this.
