BMW 1M Vs. BMW M2: The Sibling Showdown We've All Been Waiting To See

Comparison

Numbers only tell half of the story.

As BMW's legendary M cars followed the general automotive trend of gaining size and weight, fans yearned for something that would bring the brand back to its roots. Since BMW tends to listen to its fans it built the 1 Series and even brought us the highly collectible 1M. Even though the car quickly gained a cult following it was a limited run, to the dismay of many. BMW quickly followed it up with the sexier 2 Series and later, the M2.

On paper the M2 is faster, but as we know higher numbers don’t always mean a better car. Watch as the two cars are put through the paces to see which one reigns supreme.
