BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe Rendering

As BMW readies the 4-Series line-up, enthusiasts are speculating what the Gran Coupe variant may look like.

With the new 4-Series coupe about a year away, BMW fans have begun to consider how the 4-Series Gran Coupe may look, even though it's not expected to launch until 2015. Built under the codename F35, it's believed the Gran Coupe will compete with the A5 Sportback, which, along with the A5, is already on the roads. The Bavarian manufacturer has thus got some serious catching up to do, so they'd better get a move on developing the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 4-Series.

According to a BMW insider, the 4 Series Gran Coupe will be a "very sexy looking four door Gran Coupe model which will bring the sleek sportiness, premium image and ambience of the 6er Gran Coupe to the Premium entry sports segment." Its big brother, the 6 Series Gran Coupe, will launch this summer and will be offered as three distinct models: the 640i, 650i and 650i xDrive, and will square up against the Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS.
