The odds that BMW will ever build a 4 Series Ute are about the same as an elephant learning to use a toilet.
For April Fool's Day back in 2011 BMW built a prototype test mule of a 3 Series coupe that was converted into a pickup. It was then photographed testing on a stretch of road to fool people into thinking it was an actual prototype of a future model. This so-called 3 Series ute, as it turned out, was surprisingly popular but BMW later admitted its prank and that such a car would never be built. Nevertheless, rendering artist Theophilus Chin has created his version of what the new 4 Series coupe would look like in ute form.
