New cars to get full access.

BMW is known for being at the cutting edge of technological advancements, as we can see with the development of the upcoming all-electric i7 and all-new iX3, but sometimes it's the smaller tech details that add a lot of value to a brand and overall ownership experience. What are we talking about? BMW plans to roll out SiriusXM with the 360L platform across most of its range for 2021, starting with cars produced in July 2020.

This will include on-demand programming at any time, personalized, curated entertainment, and an all-access subscription. This tech will be made available for the 2 Series, 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 8 Series, as well as the entire X range of cars, as well as the Z4 Roadster.

SiriusXM's latest generation of satellite radio technology will be expanding further into the audio entertainment sphere by offering new features and listening options both inside and out of the vehicle. The first vehicles to be made available with the new tech are expected to arrive at dealerships this summer. First introduced to BMW back in 2002, SiriusXM has played an important role in the integrated entertainment services offered by BMW to its clients, and with the latest update, customers will gain access to more than 10,000 hours of SiriusXM's recorded On Demand content whenever they please.

"BMW's broad adoption of SiriusXM with 360L will give drivers a more rich and exclusive audio entertainment offering. SiriusXM with 360L will be available in several of BMW's most popular 2021 models, meaning more drivers than ever can discover and enjoy exactly what they want, when they want, from SiriusXM's variety of premium content," said Chris Paganini, VP, Automotive Partnerships, for SiriusXM.

The new platform offers highlights such as on-demand listening with thousands of hours of shows, and performances. You also get personalized recommendations of channels and on-demand shows, as well as live sports from sources such as NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. To top that off, you also get access to genre categories for music, as well as related content that matches your personal preferences. You can also create up to five SiriusXM profiles.

"Offering entertainment options is as critical to us as offering a choice of how you wish to interact with your vehicle to make driving your BMW an exciting experience every single day. This experience must always be premium however and this premium experience is what our partnership with SiriusXM brings to the enthusiastic BMW owners," concluded Paganini.
