The current (F30) generation of the BMW 3-Series has only been on the market since 2012, but already, Bimmer is working on a Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) update for the car, especially due to its fresh competition from the Mercedes-Benz C Class. The refreshed 3-Series will gain several new engines, including a variety of 3-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines sourced from the new Mini. It will also get the 5-Series' traffic jam assistant system.

Cosmetically, the sedan will gain a new front bumper with renewed air intakes, optional full LED headlights and changed rear light graphics. The updated 3-Series should be unveiled with additional tech updates by early 2015. Check out our spy shots directly from Europe.
