And it ain't cheap.
BMW literally created the luxury crossover segment overnight with its X6 a few years ago. Buyers responded in kind. And now it’s time for its redesigned replacement. The German automaker has just announced official pricing for the 2015 BMW X6, which will start at $60,550. That includes destination. Start packing on the features and the price goes up fast. For example, the X6 xDrive35i with all-wheel drive starts at $62,850. The xDrive50i, powered by a turbocharged V8 with 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, begins at $73,850.
The base engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder with 300 hp and 300 lb-ft. Again, those numbers are just the base prices – once items such as the technology pack, premium pack, etc. get added on, that price tag will climb even higher. In other words, a fully-loaded 2015 X6 with a V8 and all-wheel drive will quickly go above the $90k mark. Expect to see the 215 BMW X6 arrive in dealers sometime in the very near future.
