BMW Announces West Coast Performance Center

Time to teach BMW owners how to drive their cars.

BMWof North America has announced its plans to open the BMW Performance Center West.Coming in late 2014 to La Quinta, California, the center will serve as atraining facility and dedicated road course, offering a range of performancedriving courses – similar to those offered in the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina. Built on 32 acres of the existing Thermal Club, BMW's center will include an 8,500 sq ft performance facility, a skid padand a 1.4 mile road course, in addition to 6.2 acres of paddock.

“We have long believed that the right driver training is every bit asimportant as technology in helping to keep drivers safe,” said Vice Presidentof Sales, Channel Development and Customer Relations, Peter Miles. "The BMWPerformance Center West will make it easier for customers in the Western US tobenefit from the same professional driving instruction that nearly 130,000drivers have had at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina over the last15years.
