Like the M5 Jahre, this thing will probably be worth a ton.
30 years ago, BMW gave the world the original M3, the E30. To commemorate the M3's 30th birthday, BMW has decided to release a special edition M3 Jahre Edition. This is similar to what BMW did for the M5's 30th birthday back in 2014. That car shot up in value immediately because just 300 units were made, only 30 of which made it to the US. The M3 Jahre will have only 500 units, making it pretty rare as well. We think that this special M3 will likely rise in value just like the M5 did. It certainly has some unique features to help it stand out.
The Jahre M3 is more than just an appearance package. This special edition M3 will come standard with the Competition Package. This includes 20-inch wheels from the M4 GTS with a 666 M star spoke design, adaptive M suspension, three driving modes, and a horsepower increase to 450 hp. There will be an exclusive Macao Blue metallic paint, which was a special option for the E30 M3. There's Frozen Silver metallic. In addition to the "30 Years M3" badges and seat belts with the M colors stitched in, the Jahre M3 will come with leather seats to match the exterior color of the car. The 500 units will be available with either the manual or DCT transmission at a price of $11,000 over a standard M3 with the competition package.
