One might be given to think that since so many manufacturers are selling so many AWD vehicles aimed at the same market segments that by now there wouldn't be a huge amount of variation between different AWD systems. But it turns out that, while this might be true of some automotive systems, AWD systems are often dramatically different, sometimes even within the same company. So here BMW will explain the xDrive Intelligent AWD system.
It's a good explanation, but don't let it trick you into thinking that this means you know how Audi's Quattro system works. That's a whole different animal.
