Italy's Garage Italia Customs has once again been commissioned by BMW to create a head-turning one-off i8 after it's unique wrap created last year for the automaker's 50th birthday. Just as loud and arguably even more brash, this year's creation applied to the BMW i8 and i3, dubbed the MemphisStyle, has been inspired by Memphis Design, a Milanese furniture maker renowned for its pop-art-inspired offerings, combining wild patterns and vivid hues.

"Once again, my designers have beaten every expectation; they managed to transfer the real essence of the Memphis Design onto these futuristic one-offs," said Lapo Elkann, Chairman and Creative Director of Garage Italia Customs. Combining polka dots, stripes, and vibrant colors, the BMWs are sure to turn heads at the Frieze New York 2017 art exhibit where they'll be on display in May. The i8 boasts a watermelon print on the bumpers, purple and orange stripes, a checkerboard pattern and yellow fenders, while the BMW i3 is a crazy mix of white, green, purple, pink and green with a selection of animal prints thrown in for good measure. The interiors of both cars are equally as wild.
