There'll be at least one hopeless Brit willing to pay a 50 percent premium for one.

Withdemand for the new BMW i8 hybrid sports car skyrocketing and dealership waiting lists keepingpotential buyers waiting for months, those who have actually managed todrive off in one of the first models seem to have taken home an instant money-maker. According to Magnitude Finance, a British vehicle financing company, one clientsold the i8 he had just bought for £95,000 (including £5,000 government plug-in grant), for a staggering £140,000.

It seems the original buyer earned a 50 percent premium over the original price for simply handingover the keys to his new exotic. Magnitude Finance reported that the new ownerwas excited to become the owner of a "timeless classic," while theseller was, obviously, ecstatic at the prospect of such a great return oninvestment.
