Back in June, BMW unveiled one of its most stylish models in years: the gorgeous 8 Series Gran Coupe. But if you're craving more power, it's only a matter of time before the M8 Gran Coupe breaks cover to rival the Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door Coupe. We don't have long to wait either, as BMW has now officially confirmed the M8 Gran Coupe will debut at the LA Auto Show, which kicks off on November 22. It will replace the retiring M6 Gran Coupe and serve as a more practical alternative to the M5.

Since the regular 8 Series Coupe and high-performance M8 Coupe have already been revealed, we already have a good idea what the M8 Gran Coupe will look like. Compared to the regular 8 Series Gran Coupe, expect the M8 version to sport more aggressive styling, with muscular, a quad exhaust system, and an even more luxurious interior.

Like the Coupe, the M8 Gran Coupe will be offered in standard and Competition guises. Under the hood of both variants will be a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the range-topping Competition model pumping out 625 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. With this setup, the M8 Coupe will hit 0-62 mph in 3.3 seconds, while the Competition will do the same sprint in 3.2 seconds. Expect the Gran Coupe version to be slightly slower off the line since it will carry extra weight.

The stylish M8 Gran Coupe will also be the most expensive model in the M lineup. For reference, the regular M8 Coupe starts at $133,000, while the M8 Competition Coupe fetches $146,000. Don't be surprised, then, if the base M8 Gran Coupe start at around $150,000.This won't be the only stylish sedan BMW will reveal at LA Auto Show, either, as the first-ever BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will also make its world debut at the event.
