The BMW M2 has seen the light of day at the Essen Motor Show, equipped with a full run of M Performance parts. BMW has previously detailed the litany of parts, including the new center-locking wheels that could make an appearance on the car, but this is our first time seeing the full list of parts in the light of day.

For those out of the loop, Essen is like SEMA for Europe. Many of Europe's biggest tuners and OEMs make an appearance at the German convention, obviously with special attention being paid to German brands like Audi, VW, Mercedes, and BMW.

In addition to the current run of M Performance parts on the M2, BMW will show off a number of other hot models at the show, like the M3 Touring with M Performance parts. As for the M2, the Essen car will feature the full run of M Performance parts.

That means aero add-ons for the front and rear of the car, including CFRP wings, splitters, and side spats for the bumper. BMW has said these are all treated with a clear lacquer so you can see the weave, so it sounds like painted carbon parts, at least here, aren't an option.

Again, we feel it's important to note that BMW will offer two rear diffusers for the new M2. That's down to the M Performance exhaust you see below. It's one of the M2's more controversial styling elements, and another carbon diffuser is offered for use with the factory quad-pipe exhaust.

Inside, BMW will add all the M Tricolor stitching and M Performance badges a young influencer may desire, from an Alcantara armrest to a new wheel. BMW has also added M Performance knee pads, which may actually be a welcome addition given the slightly narrow footwell in the 2 Series.

For those at the show, the M2 will be on the Gruga-Halle grounds from December 3 to 11.
