Move over Mercedes, BMW's own safety car is heading to town. The M3 Safety Car for the 2012 DTM season has just been previewed on BMW's Facebook page and it looks like it's ready for action. Last year's DTM season (or German NASCAR, as we like to call it), featured a Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Safety Car and this year it's BMW's turn with their M3 Safety Car. 2012 marks BMW's return to the DTM Series after a 20-year hiatus.

The 2012 DTM season kicks off on April 29th, so keep an eye out for BMW's team of drivers and their new M3 Safety Car.
