As if the M3 wasn't enough, BMW just had to go ahead and do something like this. Based off the popular 5 Series sedan, just the mention of the name M5 will make any race club driver shiver. With its 5.0 liter V10, the M5 goes from zero to 60 in 4.1 seconds with an electronically controlled top speed of 162 mph. A 7-speed SMG III sequential manual transmission is offered along with a 6-speed manual.

However, the SMG transmission features "Launch Control", which allows for maximum performance standing starts automatically. The 6-speed manual transmission has often been the preferred choice due to better driver control and better everyday driving abilities. Be prepared to pay performance, as it carries a base price of $92,000.
