German tuning firm gives the BMW M5 a daring new look thanks to widebody kit.
There's no question that the BMW M5 is one incredible piece of automotive machinery in stock form. Off the shelf, buyers are treated to a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that produces a whopping 560 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. Only US customers have a choice to have a six-speed manual instead of the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox; the latter is the sole offering for Europe. But now German aftermarket tuning firm Hamann has unveiled its new Mi5Sion package for BMW's ultimate super sedan.
Although nothing has been altered under the hood, Hamann has created a new widebody kit that gives the car an even more menacing presence. The kit adds an additional 30 mm on both sides along with carbon fiber elements such as side skirts, sporty wings, door fixtures and a roof spoiler. A new rear diffuser integrates a pair of stainless-steel tailpipes and the front spoiler design has also received a thorough makeover. The exterior treatment is finished off with a set of 21-inch forged alloys. The interior was also upgraded with Alpine White leather, carbon embossing, new door sills and aluminum footrests. Pricing and availability were not announced.
